Context
The PSU Geely EOL (End Of Line) tester is a production TEST BENCH that tests the “hands-free” opening vehicle door handles. Integrated into the handle, the PSU (Proximity Sensor Unit) sensor opens and closes the vehicle without use of the key.
Challenge
Reproduce the hand movements while making physical size measurements in a production environment.
Solutions & Results
Using a clever system of interchangeable attachments, the implementation of motorisation and measuring devices, and the design of a circuit board with microprocessor and embedded software, the TEST BENCH is currently operational on a Chinese production line with 100% reliability. A HMI (Human-Machine Interface) developed under LabWindows CVI (National Instrument) is used to analyse and record the data to guarantee the traceability of each product tested.
